Bilíngue – Teens: The students already know about Valentine’s Day, which is celebrated in several countries, especially in the English language, on February 14th every year. On our return to classes, they could see that this celebration reaches even the cartoons that they like so much by practicing listening and comprehension. In our other half of the class, they created cards for the people they admire, after all, Valentine’s Day in these countries serves to show affection to those who we love.

WELCOME BACK!

Our students have already started the classes! Hangman, Valentine’s card, freeze and dance, bingo, musical chairs, stop, book reading, dynamics… in Bilingual, we have a lot of fun! We wish you all a great return and a semester full of challenges and learning.

“Juniors 3 – Directions Project”

Our Juniors 3 students had the challenge of being tourist guides giving information to the Teens! Each student selected a city, did a guided search and created their map, with the places of the city. In the activities of speaking and role play, the students intended to give information in a satisfactory way, such as “I’m hungry. Where can I go?” “You can go to the restaurant”or “I’m sick. Where can I go?” ” You can go to the hospital.” For this purpose, the students learned several places of the city, such as post office, hospital, museum, restaurant, bakery, supermarket, drugstore, train station, movie theater, toy store etc, as well as exploring a lot of information about the city, such as money, sightseeing, curiosities etc.

“Kids 4 – Knuffle Bunny Project”

By means of our project, based on the Knuffle Bunny trilogy, our bilingual students had contact with one of the most respected authors worldwide: Mo Willems. So they made their own Knuffle Bunny, with our school places and our mascots Penny and Denny. The children learned to name the places and objects of the school and also to describe them, using adjectives such as big, small, on, off, loud, low, heavy, light, full, empty, new, old, clean, dirty, fast , slow, soft, hard, beautiful, ugly etc. Good job, kids!

That's how we've been learning at Interação

Talking about animals

Our Kids III students have learned about animals, based on Eric Carle’s book “Does a kangaroo have a mother too?”. With a series of activities to practice vocabulary, students went to the “Possibilities’ room” to draw the animals from the book and their respective babies. During the activity, students were encouraged to speak the content in English to practice the vocabulary in a fun way. Good job, kids!

“Back to School”

The bilingual classes are back! As a part of our routine, fun activities are essential for a meaningful learning: In the first classes, the students did many activities as a review, such as games, songs, talking time, activities in the “Possibilities’ room” and many others! In addition, as a cultural part of the course, we also discussed Carnival and Valentine’s Day in English. Here are some pictures of some of these fun and effective moments! We have no doubt that 2018 is going to be a great year!
